Product Info: Triple cask matured in three types of casks, Casg Annamh is significantly influenced by the finest quality hand-selected Oloroso Sherry cask and two different types of American Oak casks, resulting in a rich and intense whisky. The fruity flavours are balanced perfectly with spicy notes of liquorice, ginger and cinnamon. Non-chill filtered to preserve all the complexity and intensity as well as to reveal its aromatic richness. Small batch produced using a small number of carefully selected casks. Tasting Notes: Nose: Rich and sweet with fruity notes of tangy orange, glazed cherries, raisins and a hint of ginger. Palate: Sweet and fruity flavours of apple and cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches balanced with spicy notes of liquorice and cloves. The finish is long and rich, fruity with a touch of dry spice. Medals & Awards: IWSC 2019 Award Gold 2019, ISC 2019 Silver Brand/Product History: The Aberlour Distillery, estd 1879, lies in the village of Aberlour in the heart of Speyside, the country’s premier whisky-making region which is renowned for producing whiskies of subtle depth and elegance. Aberlour is an historical place and its story stretches back over a thousand years. In the ancient past, a druid community lived in the valley. The druids valued oak trees and water and believed you could hear the water spirits talking to each other. Aberlour is a Gaelic word meaning ‘mouth of the chattering burn’ (stream). Water and an oak tree still feature today on the Aberlour label.
